East Bay
Project Summary

Bayview Demolition was awarded another opportunity to work alongside Dome Construction for Longfellow Property Management to revitalize this East Bay property from a former art school into a bio tech lab. The technical challenges of disassembling 20′ high CMU walls with multiple floor transitions was evident to all. After careful study and collaboration with our field team, safety and management, post- soft demolition our crew set about to deconstruct the multiple floor slabs and CMU walls, completing the project on time and on budget. Our foreman Claudio Paniagua and Superintendent Jesus Espinoza were lauded for their safety and efficiency in performing this work. This project exceeded the city recycle requirements and almost 2000 tons of construction materials were diverted from landfills.

Project Summary

Bayview Services, Inc. Subdivision Bayview Industrials Services, Inc. (BIS) was selected to perform maintenance and repair tasks aboard the USNS Henry J. Kaiser in a major retrofit of the ship’s critical systems including fueling and tank repair. The project requires working closely with the Project Management at MIDD and interfacing with US Navy and Port Engineers.  In addition to the primary tank systems, BIS is also involved in the preparation of potable water systems, sanitary systems, and additional ship mechanical systems.  These and more services provided by BIS complement the drydock capabilities which is an international ship repair and re-fit station critical to the United States Coast Guard, United States Navy, and State-operated ships.

The base contract for this operation is anticipated to have a duration of approximately five months.  Additional service items or conditions found may extend the operation.  This and other operations at MIDD make this a good client for the BIS ship service program and complement the hard work put in by the Operations and Administrative staff of the division managing these contracts.
