Project Summary

This project consisted of soft and hard demolition. Bayview removed and disposed of selective full height and ceiling height drywall partitions, carpet flooring, ceiling tile, grid deck insulation, and detail main deck clips.  The majority of the self-standing offices were removed by utilizing a mini excavator to demo and offload material.  The demo scope also included the removal of selective roof AC units and associated curbs.  Bayview performed saw cutting of the existing slab and chipped out an existing concrete ramp with adjacent concrete stairs using a mini excavator.  The material was sitting in a 6 foot deep pit, so in order to offload it a dirt ramp was built.

Project Summary

Bayview Demolition Services was awarded this fast-paced project on the Qualcomm campus in Santa Clara. Recycling compliance exceeded the city requirements and project goals. Bayview’s team faced challenges with mobilizing equipment onto this jobsite and found creative ways to “work smarter, not harder” to safely get the job done. Our original approach was to use heavy equipment, however out team decided to perform the bulk of the work by hand to minimize dust and maximize our source-separation of recyclables.
