In this project, Bayview Demolition fully gutted the second and third floors of El Camino Hospital’s four-story Women’s Hospital. In phase one, our team removed an exterior window and used an 85’ telescopic boom lift in order to offload debris safely and efficiently from the second and third floors. This was also done in part to minimize the impact of demolition upon the doctors and patients receiving care on the surrounding floors. All interior finishes were removed including carpet, drywall, doors, and light fixtures; as well as all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. To wrap up phase one, the Bayview Demolition team used the boom lift to safely remove all exterior windows.
In phase two, large air handling units will be removed as well as the concrete pads which supported them. The team will then then sawcut and break out out concrete walls to make way for the installation of new air handing units and louvers. In the third and final phase, Bayview Demolition will perform selective demolition on restrooms and maternity rooms throughout the building.
On this project, Bayview deployed its Demolition and Environmental divisions in order to complete the scope. The historical Graduate Hotel of Palo Alto California was to receive a full gut on every one of its six 7,500 square foot floors, as well as its roof and basement. The Environmental team abated all of the lead and asbestos materials throughout the building. Offload was a challenge on this project. With no area on the street for dumpsters, the dumpsters had to be brought into the ground floor of the building. Once the building has passed clearance, the Demolition team will move in and complete the soft demolition and selective hard demolition at various locations of the site.View Project
This is a multifaceted project that includes hazardous material abatement of asbestos throughout the interior of the complex, spot lead abatement on the exterior, and roof topping slab demolition. Bayview Environmental and Bayview Demolition are tasked to provide a shell of the 6-Story Apartment Complex as part of the renovation to provide new low income housing in Richmond. This project is a unique coordinating effort as it required 4 different crews throughout the complex to work simultaneously in order to keep pace with an aggressive schedule.View Project
Bayview Industrial Services, Inc. (BIS) continues to expand the industrial cleaning and Ship Service lines throughout Northern California. Our latest project for Mare Island Dry Dock aboard the USCG Polar Star has provided an opportunity to manage several aspects of our service lines. Providing confined space entry operations to perform high pressure tank cleaning, surface decontamination, bulk liquid maintenance and site control measures over the last five months as needed. This project utilizes a wide variety of training and procedures to complete and is the fourth time Bayview has been selected to work aboard this vessel in recent years. In addition to this operation, BIS has also been contracted for two other USCG vessels and a number of other ship service based operations that parallel the services on the USCG Polar Star.View Project
