Project Summary
  • This project consisted of multiple floors and multiple locations of soft and hard demolition.  Bayview removed and disposed of selective plaster walls to accommodate new glass storefronts and a portion of the roof slab was removed and we left the rebar for others to install a new steel canopy.   Also Bayview performed saw cutting and chipped out a concrete slab at four levels to accommodate a new escalator.  The first floor was  complex because this was an 18” thick pour concrete that had multiples active piping running through.  At this location Bayview needed to saw cut the perimeter of the slab and chip concrete around existing rebar and active electrical conduits for other trades to do their electrical safe off.  After the safe off was complete, Bayview installed a crash deck on floor below to catch all falling concrete from the slab above.
