Bayview was brought into this project to assist Lehigh Hansen with the removal of approximately 130K of HFO from Main and double bottom tanks on board the Golden Arrow. The defuel operations were part of a reclassification of the vessel. HFO was pre-heated with temporary boiler systems and transferred ship to shore under the Bayview over water transfer notification system. The fuel was then shipped off site to a pre-determined reclamation facility. The project was completed in the projected time line and on budget.
