Bayview was contracted by Quantum Scape Battery, Inc. to assist in preparing a 50K square foot building for upcoming battery production operations in support of the Toyota Motor Corporation EV program. The services include the removal and decontamination of approximately 4k linear feet of production lines contaminated with varying concentrations of metals and fluoride dusts. The production line materials underwent a two stage decontamination process to qualify the metal components for recycling and to aid Quantum Scape in waste minimization during the turn around of the building. These activities have also been coordinated in support of the overall facility closure operations and preparation for demolition and retrofit activities.
