Reports to:  Director of Sales & Estimating

Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Market your own business relationships.
  • Obtain new accounts by developing new business and customer relationships.
  • Seek out bid and sales opportunities with assigned customers.
  • Attend business development meetings, seminars and client briefings related to the industry to identify potential opportunities and future targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of local, state and federal hazardous waste regulations, DOT requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • Attend post-bid / per-award job interviews and clearly communicate the organizations capability and competency to successfully complete the project.

Estimating

  • Ability to perform all aspects of estimating including selection of proper equipment, staffing/resource needs, establishing production rates, and obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to familiarize yourself with the job site conditions as necessary.
  • Review and evaluate project specifications / hazardous material reports to determine proper materials, applications and scope of work.
  • Complete quantity takeoffs and summations of material.
  • Initiate appropriate correspondence with the customer to clarify vague or unclear statements or specifications, prior to finalizing takeoff.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for assigned projects.
  • Review all bids with supervisor prior to submission.

Project Management

  • Submit contract documents to Admin for review by corporate management.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e. interpretation of drawings and specifications, recommendation of – best practice – remediation methods and equipment, etc. as required.
  • Complete work plans and other required submittals for awarded projects as required.
  • Regularly review project progress against its estimated budget and schedule and make any necessary adjustments to ensure project completion on schedule, within the budget and at the required level of quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Environmental Remediation Estimating Experience or Sufficient Field Experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Environmental Science and/or Construction Related Discipline
  • 5-10 Years of Environmental Remediation Estimating Experience
  • Northern California Experience Preferred
  • Proficient in MS Project and Bluebeam Revu
